Gehaakte polswarmer-Crocheted pulse warmer

Onlangs kreeg ik poppengoed in mijn bezit, onder de vorm van een antiek gehaakt polswarmertje. Voorwaarde was wel dat ik er een kopij van afleverde, wat een echte uitdaging bleek te zijn:

Some time ago a doll's clothes accessory came into my possession, as an antique crocheted pulse warmer. For this it was made a condition that I should render an exact copy of it, which proved to be something of a challenge:

Het antieke exemplaar, in het wit, werd nagemaakt in oud garen (broos en weerbarstig), gebruik makend van een haaknaald van 0,5mm (de fijnste haaknaald, 0,4mm, wordt vaak gebruikt bij het maken van kant om een nieuwe draad aan te hechten):

The antique original, in white, was copied using old yarn (stubborn and brittle) and a crochet hook of 0,5mm (the smallest crochet hook is 0,4mm and is often used in lace making to attach a new thread to the work):
