Breirijk is de veelzeggende naam van de nieuwe wolwinkel die onlangs geopend werd in De Pinte door Catherine van Laake:

Erg fijn was het om na de Duitse Ravelry-bijeenkomst nog een omweg te maken via Keulen:

Onlangs een dagje naar Antwerpen geweest waar Brabo nog steeds aanwezig is in het straatbeeld:

Niet alleen in Gent, ook in Antwerpen kwam er onlangs een winkel bij waar creatievelingen hun hartje kunnen ophalen. Julija's Shop heeft zoveel in huis: de garens van La Droguerie, stoffen in Liberty-stijl, knoopjes, lint, pareltjes, kits en boekjes vol inspiratie. Ook Japanse tijdschriften, zowel over naaien als over breien en haken, zijn verkrijgbaar. En het mooie is dat je er deskundig advies bijkrijgt; elke tweede donderdag van de maand is er zelfs breicafé in de winkel:

Uiteindelijk koos ik voor Plumette, een zacht mohairgaren dat ik dubbel ga verwerken in een sjaal/cape naar Japans patroon:
