Periwinkle Rowan Magazine 41-Lay-out

As I have enough motifs already to shape the front and the back, I have started the lay-out, literally. I arranged them on my blocking-carpet, following the design of the pattern for the front, but just laying them out at random for the back; I only took into account the different colours and shapes, as to arrange them equilibrated. Is this freeform crochet or not?

My Supervisor of Yarn was helpful as usual, first evaluating the situation with interest:

I placed a cushion on my work to slow down her enthousiasm, but she still tried on:

eerst één patroontje, first one pattern,

dan het volgende...then another...

En zo bleven we goed bezig...
And so we kept going...

I swoon! It's beautiful! Wish I could crochet like that.
