Midsummer Night's Shawl-Begin. Start. Début.

Vooraleer deze blog helemáál om Madeira draait wil ik mijn vakantieproject tonen: een gehaakte midzomernachtssjaal, een patroon van Lisa Naskrent. Ik koos een streng Evilla Art Yarn 8/2 uit mijn wolvoorraad, vorig jaar gekocht bij Astrid's Dutch Obsessions:
Before this knitting and crochet blog is taken over entirely by Madeira, I will show you my holiday project: a crocheted Midsummer Night's Shawl, a pattern from Lisa Naskrent. The yarn chosen is Evilla Art Yarn 8/2:

En natuurlijk gebruikte ik een houten haaknaald van Laurel Hill om doorheen de controle op de vlieghaven te geraken:

Ce crochet en bois de Laurel Hill était accepté à l'aéroport:


Het was een mooi begin:

De bloemensteek viel erg mee:

I really liked the flower stitch:

Een ideale plek om te haken, op dat bankje:

Un endroit idéal pour le crochet, ce petit banc sous l'arbre:


De groene tint vertoont gelijkenis met de kleur van het gras:

The green shade of the yarn resembled that of the grass:
Le vert de la laine s'accordait bien à celui du gazon:


En het roze had iets weg van dat van de dubbele hibiscusbloemen uit de tuin:

And the pink shade was the same as that of the double hibiscus flowers from the garden:
Et le rose appelait à celui des fleurs doubles d'hibiscus:

Wat een prachtige sjaal, mooi bloemenmotief, mooie kleuren. En is het echt dat je met een houten haaknaald door de douane geraakt op de luchthaven? Zou dit ook met houten breinaalden lukken? Ik vind het soms zonde van de vele uren op een vliegtuig dat je niet kan breien...
