Sam the Ram- Horens. Horns. Cornes.

Een echte ramshoorn die ik meebracht van het Schotse eiland Skye was een goede referentie om de kleur van de gebreide horens te bepalen. In het patroon wordt gebroken wit gebruikt maar zoals ook vermeld stond op de blog van Jean Miles op 23 july 2007 zijn witte horens niet echt realistisch:
A real ram's horn that I brought back from Skye was a good reference for the decision about the colour choice. The pattern indicates the use of white yarn but this looked not very realistic to me:
Une vraie corne de bélier ramené de l'Ecosse m'a aidée à choisir la couleur des cornes. Le modèle utilise du fil blanc cassé mais cela ne donnait pas un résultat très naturel:


Zodoende heb ik ze gemaakt uit Rowan Scottish Tweed dk kleur 025. Prachtige constructie overigens, met verkorte rijen:
Instead of the white yarn I used some Rowan Scottish Tweed dk in the shade 025. The pattern of the horns is quite subtile, with short rows:
J'ai substitué le fil blanc par du Rowan Scottish Tweed dans la couleur 025. Le modèle des cornes est bien ingénieux:
